Sweek The Shooting Star's Sigh...
Voto:
oh, I don't know... through a strange association of ideas, I believe, when you write "A brief vehement crescendo that awakens the numb senses, as if the hammers of the piano, instead of striking its strings, were striking those of the soul, stirring it and urging it to follow this mad chase," it reminded me of an image from Hikmet, a trip all my own...

But I didn't understand why the More Info links to your review.. is it a new practice of autoeroticism?

You made me think of Nazim Hikmet... you’re amazing! I don’t know this album, I’ll make sure to catch up and be able to "follow you"...
The Libertines Up the Bracket!

I listened to this album. And the self-titled one. Now, I don’t want to start any controversies, but I honestly - quite privately - think that the Libertines are one of the most useless bands on the planet (both in the music industry and beyond). Bye.
Man Or Astro-man? 1000X
Voto:
Project Infinity is the third album and one of the most 'surf' in the strict sense; Made From Technetium, EEviac, and the latest A Spectrum Of Infinite Scale are instead part of the second phase of the Astroman, which is less surf-oriented and more experimental on the post-wave-punk front. Beautiful and quite underestimated is actually Spectrum, where it seems he's managed to create a dark hybrid between PIL and Husker Du. This 1000X, on the other hand, sits exactly in the middle and serves as a stylistic watershed between the two phases: the maximum.

mayhem, but if we all jump on the bandwagon it's over! I don't know... I look at the glass half full and I tell you that on debaser I keep discovering beautiful albums of STUFF NEVER HEARD BEFORE and finally great reviews. bye
The Libertines Up the Bracket!

I quote one of the most beautiful editorials I've ever read on debaser: "On NME the 2005 awards have ended and Pete Doherty won: best band, worst band, best live act, worst, sexiest man, best dressed, worst - he won it all: they even created the category 'scoundrel of the year' just so he could win, and all of this is real." My addition is that the Libertines are a huge hoax.

Sweetness, your review is really good, and that "nessunproblemarimedioioallalacuna" closing such an annoyed preamble got me all hot and bothered like a beast! mmm... (but the album isn't a 5 or even a 4, come on)
