what you mentioned is perfect reverse: it's true, and often it's the first listen that strikes you (thinking in terms of images)..... I associate Donald Fagen with the full night or darkness, with neon lights or complete darkness like the house at the back of the cover. But the sunset works too: for me, that image must have definitely been there..... after all, these are always in constant motion, right? :)

thank you all.....@sephirot: I was sure someone would call me out on that phrase. To be honest, I would have done it too :), because in the end saying "objectively beautiful records" means nothing. However, that turn of phrase conveys well the idea I want to express afterward......so let's let this "poetic license" pass.....@godbowl: I completely understand what you're saying about the record, there are 2 of us who think that way :)

wonderful album, perhaps the most ambitious from the crimson. It's true, ladies of the road has always seemed "Beatlesque" to me: at times, I don't know why, I feel like I hear together :)

Note to the editors: could you correct "parte grigie" to "pareti grigie" in the review? ...meticulous but accurate ...thank you.
Lucio Battisti Una giornata uggiosa

beautiful. I really like Battisti from the late '70s, including of course this album... regarding "con il nastro rosa," it's definitely on the podium of the greatest Italian pop songs of all time: anyone disagree, folks? :)
