primiballi I would also mention the great Captain Beefheart, in addition to Waits, what do you think?..........I also remember that in Jarmusch's film "Stranger than Paradise," Lurie's cousin girl walks around with a cassette player playing "Put a Spell on You"; and it's funny how Lurie keeps saying every time he hears it: I hate this, I hate this! :)......Anyway, the character of Hawkins, with everything he has done, remains a great one.
