splendid review that added an extra touch to an album that perhaps, as I seem to have understood, doesn't quite deserve it after all......or maybe it does?.........The closing track is a little gem ;)

Surf music has boasted some great guitarists in its ranks, with Dick Dale perhaps being the standout: even Hendrix dedicated a line of a song to him, saying "you'll never hear surf music again," referencing the fact that Dale was suffering from cancer during those years... but then he recovered... @SuperCheri: the reason you mention fits, but I also believe that when we talk about surf music, more than with other genres, we strongly refer to a specific historical period and particular events that are difficult to replicate, even if done in slightly different forms (see the Beatles-Stone Roses parallel)... anyway, if you dig a little bit, you can find something...

What great movies, the ones where Maurizio Merli's mustache in the foreground hid a covert advertisement placed further back.........;)

Wasn't there also the good old Charlie or Richard Benson alone? At least that's what I heard once.....Great idea to bring the event back, though ;)

I really liked the review; I didn't know them, but two basses and a drum set intrigue me...
