Seen in theaters when I was a child (of course, in a rerun), very very nice, even though not in my top 10 of Uncle Walt. Great article, full of insights I didn't know.

Thank you for the encouragement; even thinking back on it, I remain convinced that they are one of the most original releases of this autumn. They will definitely have a spot in my top 10 albums of 2024. Picked up the vinyl yesterday at the little shop.

I agree with you, a fantastic debut (back then it was them, Muse and Travis), but they have always disappointed my expectations. I’ve always found them boring, really, so I won’t intentionally listen to this, but as always it’ll be impossible to avoid it completely. Thank you for this review.

Fabriguitar, thank you for this review. I believe many are here on Debase precisely for Nick Hornby and Rob (let's face it, he's one of Nick's alter egos, like other characters), at least for me. I've read everything by Hornby, and this is a real gem alongside Fever Pitch (or Febbre a 90, which is one of the rare cases where the Italian title is just as good as the original). Thank you for bringing the discussion to Hornby, who is never talked about enough.

Very, very appreciated review, thank you. I've also written about the album on other pages. The entire album is supported by a clever marketing strategy, and even after months, it still doesn’t make me understand if people are talking about it because they like it or if they like it because people are talking about it.
