I can't help but ask you if you've ever truly listened to nevermind carefully because apart from the release date, I really see very few affinities. You claim that the Guns have matured with this album, but I find them very flat and lacking ideas compared to Appetite. The gem, however, is "Then you see a great Dylan song, perfectly covered and perhaps even more beautiful than the original by the Guns"… speechless.

If my violent life is rawer in sound, I have to procure it by all possible means...

Regarding the Sonic Youth talk, I was referring to when I first listened to Fugazi and knew very little about hardcore and its derivatives. I’ve only listened to Blonde Redhead’s In an Expression of the Inexpressible (great album) and Misery is a Butterfly, which seemed a bit too predictable and deja-vu, as well as very “pop,” if you allow me the term. But was Picciotto already in my violent life? I don't think so.

For the first time, reading a review made me angry. But do you even inform yourself before writing nonsense??? Do you at least know who Jim Morrison was? Have you ever seen a recording of one of his live performances?? Have you ever listened to one of his songs???? Have you ever thought about looking up the translation of one of his lyrics???? I won't give 1 to the review because that would be too much.

This was also the first album I listened to by Fugazi, but it took me a bit longer to make them my own. At first listen, I thought, "What is this?" I set them aside for a while until a second random play on my CD player, and since then they've become somewhat of a drug; I can't live without them anymore. I can definitely hear some influences from Sonic Youth in certain passages (especially in the instrumental parts). Among the tracks, I can't find one that stands out above the others; they are all of the highest level and indispensable to each other. Well done, birobiro, go through their entire discography; they deserve it. Ian MacKaye is one of the greatest figures in the entire rock scene—honest, sincere, and consistent like few others.

The Filth and The Fury is a must-see at all costs, one of the finest documentary films ever made about a band.
