@Nick. I completely agree. But if someone doesn't listen to advice upfront, hiding behind an insurmountable barrier and the excuse of "that's just how I am," how can they learn? Of course, advice should be analyzed and filtered, but starting from the assumption that one is always right is, in my opinion, wrong. It means not being willing to take a risk, not wanting to engage in dialogue. What could be more beautiful in life than confrontation? And mind you, I don't mean competition, but rather: confrontation, exchange of ideas, viewpoints, and perspectives. Everyone has something to learn and teach, in my humble opinion, with the only caveat that those who cannot learn will never be able to teach either :)!

One cannot deny spontaneity, but if I feel like burping in a meeting with my boss, I wouldn’t do it, even if it comes naturally. Then it’s up to you.
