I haven't listened to this album yet. They do what can be defined as "classy pop." I don't adore them, but they're very catchy and still refined. The Danish scene is always beautifully rich, and they, along with mew and kashmir, are "the new faces." Well done, and good job to you too.

Well, not to butt into the discussion, but I'd like to point out a couple of things. It's not true that America sucks in every way. Let's say that America, or rather the United States, is the paradise for social climbers. If someone is ready to outshine others just to get ahead, then America is the place for them. Maximum meritocracy, in every sector. I'm not made that way and I prefer a state where welfare is well distributed, where there isn't too much social inequality between the "bosses" and the "workers." Among such countries, we could mention the Scandinavian countries, the Netherlands, Australia. Then there are nations that are in the middle (Italy, Spain, etc.) that are neither fish nor flesh from a social standpoint. But that doesn’t mean Italy SUCKS. In Italy, there are many things that aren't good, but there are also plenty of other things that are excellent: schools, universities, healthcare, etc. Among the worst things are demagoguery, populism, the Church that continues to believe it can always express its ideas, and last but not least, our being "italians inside," trying to screw over our neighbors to benefit ourselves. Not returning a phone if we find it, building an illegal house hoping for an amnesty, and thousands of other "Italian quirks" that really annoy me. Now you might say that I'm generalizing, but I assure you, it's not exactly like that...

Wait, as you can read from my comment, I don't judge it as "positive." I say it's just that — nothing more. In fact, I judge it negatively. But there are people who thrive on competition, people who like to compete in everything. Things like: "I make coffee better than you." "Boss, you see that Rossi doesn’t clock in on time while I do." "I have to deliver the project before he does." This way of thinking disgusts me. If you then look at American commercials, you see a clear picture of what America is. The first thing a commercial does is to belittle the competitor. A technique recently brought to Italy by the bald dwarf with his TELE2 (to cite one example) and with his election campaign. Competition aimed at destroying the opponent is something I hate. I am a bit like the "Piero" in war from De André; I would fall under the blows of those who want to overpower me, not because they are stronger than me, but simply because I wouldn't have the courage to overpower them in turn. Therefore, America is not for me!

Another one of those bands that has always annoyed me. With that idiot Robert Smith always acting all sad and pathetic. Really close to the pathetic. Despite everything, I appreciate many of their songs, but clowns belong in the circus, not in music.

Bisius, I remember your beginnings, when you were taken for a fake and you would comment on every review often without having listened to the album. You've followed the advice that many have given you, and now I find you here writing me a full 5 review and reviewing an album (and a movie) that I've never heard of. My greatest appreciation in life goes to those who can understand their mistakes and improve themselves. Hats off. Congratulations!
