Pearl Jam Live At The Gorge 05/06

I stopped listening to them after no-code. They are one of those groups that have remained trapped in their cocoon. Yet with no-code I had high hopes that they would start experimenting but...nothing! The failure due to losing THEIR sound made them regress, and then they churned out 5 "tens" in a row. Always the same music, always the same ballads, always the same shouted anthems. I say this with immense sadness because I adore them, I love their first 4 albums, and they are fantastic live. But, objectively, they sold out to the god of money! Vedder's voice, however, is one of the most beautiful things on earth.

Not only is the song terrible, but it's also copied! Remove the spaces and watch the video.

Hi Vivis, well done. Now do you want to make me dance to Luis Prima as well as the Ramones?

@Alessio: Dresden you say? I’ll have to consider it. For now, I’m in Trondheim and I can’t complain. The only drawback is the concerts, but with a little patience, you can listen to some good music. Ozzy Osbourne, Black Label Society, Lemonheads (a bit rusty), Magnet, Motorpsycho, Kaizers Orchestra, Madrugada, Mew - those were the last concerts I saw. But for sure I can’t expect Tool to come play here. @Blackdog: yes, Roma is playing like crazy. Here we have Rosenborg. Now I’m going to watch Rosenborg-Chelsea. The only problem is that being at the stadium with -10 isn’t pleasant!

The ideal city for me is one with 200,000 inhabitants, not too chaotic, with functioning public services, a vibrant nightlife, and plenty of greenery. Let's say that the city I live in comes pretty close to these criteria. If it weren't for the cold, it would truly be my ideal city. Oh, there's one more thing missing... the waves! I would never live in Venice, just to avoid that nauseating smell of rotten seaweed. Milan even less so. I lived in Turin for 5 years and that was enough for me. As for Rome, I find it fascinating but the thought of the chaotic traffic immediately makes me tense up.

In the end, it’s beautiful how a discussion evolves. Have you ever found yourselves talking for hours and not realizing how the conversation shifts? How you start talking about trees and end up discussing microprocessors? If you’re among just men, you know all too well where the conversation is headed, far too predictably!

@psycho: I completely understand what you’re saying. I have a guard dog that licks anyone who enters the yard and a companion dog that has destroyed every shoe of every family member without ever getting a single hit in its life. @Alessio&Poletti: I agree with Poletti, Rome all the way. Milan, smog, chaos, mess, cold, rain, grayness. Oh my God, what a sad city. Anyway, when are we Italians going to stop running around like crazy? I mean, come on, you go around and everyone walks as if they’re doing a 20km race: iPod in their ears, phone in hand writing smsmsms to who knows who, and Sole 24 under their arm reading the stock prices of Prada. I hate city life, I HATE it!

Matt Damon is one of those actors who has become trapped in his role. The film has no substance.

Anyway, in these are days there is perhaps their most beautiful song. "I surrender," in my opinion truly spectacular. I listened to the album yesterday and I must say I appreciate this shift towards a rougher sound.
