That's a monster. And it already has its years, by the way! This year it seems unbeatable again! As for traveling: where there's a will, there's a way. Money and time can be found. It's all a matter of priorities :)

Hi Ole, I'm in Australia for a semester. In fact, I think I'll be posting quite a bit of local stuff. How are you? Everything good?

@Bisius: I really don't know which of the two I like more, maybe I prefer this one. I feel it's more mature, or maybe I just experienced it better and it accompanied me during special moments, so I'm attached to it. @Sfascia: I'll give you my friend's number who made such a statement and can "complaining-are" in person! But watch out for his behind!

Yes, yes, I wanted to mention the interview but I couldn’t remember the link. I do remember reading it and having a big laugh. They’re full of themselves like few others, with that obsession for the bend!

what are his "real" merits? Those of giving the guitar a different dimension compared to his predecessors? Apart from the fact that I see very little merit in that (he's just gifted with a monstrous technique), and then he's an unmatched show-off. He plays at full speed and that's it. Sometimes a single note is far more beautiful than 130 notes thrown together. Sometimes a "wrong" note is much more unique and appealing than a thousand perfectly played correct notes in scale. It's a matter of taste, isn't it? Some people love the poetry of simplicity while others adore the intricacies of the baroque.

I'm not commenting on the review because you'd just get pissed off and say that I always have it in for you. I've listened to the album a bit and it seems to me there are fewer mental gymnastics compared to Francis the Mute, which was beautifully convoluted but I liked it a lot that way. They totally rock, there's no denying it, they absolutely kill it!

More than anything, this redundancy of keyboards made me feel nauseous before listening to the album. Maybe I'm wrong but... I don't know! Let's see if we can download it before getting the CD blindly like I wanted to do.

hahaha, great there's! I watched the video on YouTube. Unwatchable and unlistenable. De gustibus non disputandum est but that video is truly disgusting and perfectly describes the character Malmsteen. By the way, in the comments section, there's a really funny comment. One user says, "he probably played more notes in this solo than BB King did in his entire life, but who’s the better bluesman?" Malmsteen, with his quick fingers, can only be the sexual dream of every girl but not much more than that. Truly disgusting...brrrr...let's shiver!
