In the next album "Tre volte lacrime," there are still some dark reminiscences (Marisa Allasio, Autoritratto), but the more somber record is the compilation "8183" (released in 1989 but documenting the early years of the band).

I completely agree about Fiorella Mannoia (one of the best Italian interpreters in my opinion), but there aren’t many others as good as her in my view. From her early work, I also recommend "La casa del serpente," which showcases the transition between the first and the new Fossati.

I believe Paolo Conte is right when he says that no one can sing a song better than the one who wrote it; for example, Celentano sings "io sono un uomo libero" very well, but Fossati's version is a different story.
