Ozzy Osbourne-Randy Rhoads Tribute

Indeed, dramwarrior... however, if I'm not mistaken, a certain variant might be found in the two albums recorded at a very young age with Quiet Riot. As you rightly pointed out, while Zakk has been able to demonstrate his charisma with very personal albums (I mention Book of Shadows or Pride and Glory), thus igniting a whole new generation of guitarists who draw inspiration from him... towards a metal that fuses southern and blues influences... Randy Rhoads indeed lacked a true solo career. In any case, this absence has been compensated for by the legend of his untimely death. Nevertheless, to continue the debate alongside you, Aniel, and Fidia, I will say this: when certain technical peaks are reached, it’s really difficult to make comparisons... one can only express a personal taste, but nothing more. The truth is that perhaps such comparison diminishes (and limits) the greatness of Randy Rhoads and Zakk Wylde; they are two great stars in the firmament of guitar heroes.

A matter of taste on Host..rather, that such a radical change from a Metal band causes astonishment doesn't surprise me at all! As for the vocal similarity to the Metallica singer, I must say it is quite remarkable..let's keep in mind, though, that both are rooted in sounds (in their own way) oriented towards the extreme..so it's logical that the younger one (Holmes) would have inevitably been influenced by the older one (Hetfield...). In any case, the sound proposed by Holmes might fit better with the current AMetallica....Hola!!!

Thank you all for honoring my "invitation" and thanks to you too, Dreamwarrior.. your thoughts have been quite interesting.. the only one I dare to exclude from this page is jettojet. A presumptuous, arrogant, and dull person... just like Malmsteen!!!!! Hola

..Host, which I must say, in its devotion to techno, I didn't mind... it has a bit of the flavor of the best Depeche Mode, don't you think? If it had been released by some other band "devoted" to that type of music, it would have been much more successful! Instead, believe in Nothing is actually quite bland, I must say.. One last (and perhaps trivial) observation... don't you think the singer of Nickelback tries to resemble (not just physically, where the resemblance is obvious) Holmes, also in his voice and way of singing? Even though they’re in completely different genres, I really think the two singers are very similar! Hola

Indeed, what "pollutes" his solo work is precisely his "drunken" voice!! This can be enjoyable, for goodness' sake, but if he had chosen a singer with a higher and more melodic voice, I’m sure the Black Label Society would have gained a lot... However, some of Zakk's songs are so "dirty" and raw that without his voice they couldn't even be conceived!!! I still appreciate Zakk's more melodic side and especially his country influences... listening to Pride and Glory above all!!

..perhaps more Draconian Times, if that's the case... however, as beautiful as those two LPs by Paradise Lost are, they still carry the last fragments of dissolving doom atmospheres... Instead, with One Second, the band seems to have reached a perfect balance in their sound. That's why I also appreciated their latest work very much, which seeks to return to those balanced sonorities. I've always held a prejudice against Moonspell for their Latin derivation... a "warm" genealogy cannot, by definition, conceive of funereal music... I know it's nonsense, but this, along with their sound being more oriented towards Doom, has never allowed me to appreciate them too much... Anyway. I'll try to repent...!!!

But come on... verbosity in the vast spaces of ideas is never enough... mine was a compliment, make that clear!

I really appreciated the previous album... if this one is even better, then I expect an album of beauty almost equal to what I consider the gothic masterpiece of the '90s: ONE SECOND by Paradise Lost.

Aniel, Vinsex, and Fidia... I think the three of us have very similar musical tastes... we always end up on almost all the same reviews!!... What do you think about the Zakk Wylde vs Randy Rhoads conflict? No one has intervened in the debate raised in my review of the album "Tribute"? When you have time, swing by and take a stand... for or against, I don't mind. Hola!!

I don't exclude it, Pros... I don't exclude it at all... in fact, being mindful of my impulsivity, I didn't exclude it even in the immediacy of the review... :-) Anyway, to you and Radioactive_ toy, the gold palm for micro review/macro comment! :-)
