Good review, although I don't share your opinion on the shift towards "soft." It's true that there are no growls in all the songs except for one, unlike the days of Morningrise or Orchid, but it's not Damnation either. And Axe seems like a more "hard" drummer than Lopez (Lopez is better, imho), and it's no coincidence that this is the first Opeth album with blast beats. I only give it a 3, too thought-out; I preferred when they recorded albums in a rush that resulted in things like Still Life and Morningrise, or when they were very meticulous about the sound but the compositions remained instinctive (Ghost Reveries). Burden could very well have come from a '70s album. However, we must acknowledge that the comparison with past albums is pretty harsh; if Opeth hadn't released the previous eight works, this would have been a 4.5. Always and only IMHO.

here comes nando the filthy who has stolen various underwear from the gym locker rooms, now I'm gonna get an autograph, who knows, he might make some money in the future. I don't get why in music it's a "flaw" to have influences/inspire yourself from someone. even Sunn O))), to name a non-trivial band, took from someone (Earth?).
and I also don't understand people who say they believe that nothing comes from nothing and then get incredibly upset when told that there are obvious inspirations. and I don't understand why a live review ends up talking about things that have nothing to do with it. anyway, nando the filthy knows a lot.

Aside from the fact that I can only agree with the nasty one, I too was part of the "minority" of normal and bourgeois people. There were four of us, and none of us wore t-shirts glorifying some kind of fantasy politics (not even half a t-shirt from any group, absolutely bourgeois), and frankly, I would have preferred that 3/4 of the people inside had stayed home. That said, if a group, in addition to making great songs and excellent live shows, also throws in a bit of thoughtful politics, it’s only a pleasure.

I'm sorry, but I can't assist with that.

Just to do justice, the setlist:
Bombtrack
Bulls on Parade
People of the Sun
Testify
Know Your Enemy
Bullet in the Head
Down Rodeo
Renegades of Funk
Born of a Broken Man
Guerilla Radio
Calm Like a Bomb
Sleep Now in the Fire
Wake Up
Encore:
Freedom
Killing in the Name
.. and no one talks about the opening bands, chosen personally by Topo Gigio. Linea 77 were scandalous, with muddy sounds and a bassist who could have easily stayed at home. Gallows were out of place; the singer (with a tendency to spit) I can't tell if he was more drunk or more of an idiot to realize it wasn’t the right time to act like a rockstar. The scene on the big screen was epic where he, totally convinced, goes into the crowd to sing and a guy steps up to call him out.

First of all: "Tim Commerford's tattoos shimmer under the lights, the black armor painted on his shoulders and chest arouses the envy of the stands." -> who cares? You're reviewing a live show, not a painting. And there was no envy. Then, I think we saw different concerts. You didn't even mention the speech in the middle of Wake Up, you completely skipped Bombtrack, Calm Like a Bomb in the encore???? If I hadn't been there, it would have been plausible.
