Stanley Kubrick Il Dottor Stranamore. Ovvero come imparai a non preoccuparmi e ad amare la bomba

I saw it recently and found it fabulous. It's true there are a lot of things to say, but for now, the aspects that struck me the most were the contrast between the extreme naturalism of the war scenes, which are almost documentary-like at times, and the ridiculousness of the powerful figures that follow one another on screen, along with the almost self-reproducing dimension of the technique, like the opening scene with the planes that looks almost like a mating dance.

I’ve seen it a couple of times; the first time was exhilarating, but perhaps the fact that it’s an overly stereotypical film, even though the narrative is quite elliptical, slightly undermines its durability. The review is good!

Hey priest :P the comparison wasn't so much musical as it was "historical", meaning impactful on a series of codes, rock for Spiderland, jazz for this, and the way they shuffle, recombine, and ultimately reformulate them.
