@staypower... I believe there's a small difference... I, perhaps overestimating, seek emotions and as you know, emotions are many and have various facets, so I move according to the type of feeling I'm looking for, based on my mood, the weather, the season... we are not monoliths, so the passage (and the wearing) of time leaves us unfazed in our beliefs/emotions... right now in my car (in the trusty and old Clario 6 loader) I have the Beatles, Bad Religion, Kyuss, Built To Spill, David Peel, and Langhorne Slim... this is because what I need in the morning changes by evening... you can't just STAYPOWER... I've seen Manowar twice and every now and then I listen to them again with joy/nostalgia, but then I also need wide-open prairies where I can let my thoughts chase the wind...

@psycho... Ancona, I believe, with the legendary Palazzo as art director it's only natural that things are moving... maybe I wouldn't have made it that far (it's about 800 km...) but I would have bitten my fingers...

@staypower... The shelf syndrome can be accepted... if I understood correctly, it means not being able to stick too long to one group/genre... that's true. The only thing I contest about his charming and almost perfect analysis is that order in my house is banned like a thief...

@ncora a STAYPOWER... then, quoting myself, this artist projects into the future a genre apparently dead in the 50s, after W.Guthrie... for this reason, I believe he deserves it...

@psycho... sorry, but what's your city...? Just think that a couple of weeks ago I didn't even know it existed... otherwise, I would have rushed there...

@staypower... so your objections are well-reasoned, thus more than legitimate. I believe I mentioned this some time ago in another review, where I faced a similar "criticism." It's true I might be exaggerating, but I only review albums that give me emotions, and this one hasn’t left my car for a week (I even listen to it at home), so it deserves a 5. I think it’s justified because, if you’re interested in the genre (since ratings should be evaluated ALSO based on that), this is a solid 5, an album that has made me feel the folk roots of American country again after about ten years since Uncle Tupelo... if you allow me...

@zannab... I bought it on eBay, while I pre-ordered the new one on vinyl directly from his MySpace page (which I linked)...
