@azzo... great analysis. I completely agree with your post, back in the day just to put Catartica and Hai Paura in the same sentence annoyed me (I had met both and Manuel was already a bit arrogant) but now, with the passing of time, I must admit that Hai Paura suffers less from the effects of time (I also find a certain quirky way of constructing Pollard's albums aka Guided By Voices)^ with wonderful lyrics built on structures "patented by Claudio Rocchi in the 70s for his debut Viaggio...

Are we doing it with four hands...? I haven't got any with all my ones... @tamtam... maybe it's a bit exaggerated to say that with certain people the world gets worse... Vasco has been doing the same things for at least 15 years and he's one of those right in the front line to maintain his status, not giving up even 0.01% of royalties, so that CDs cost a little less... if I'm also meskino... meskinero'

@supersoul... as always, your contributions are targeted and rich with names to discover... true, I don't want to make a masterpiece out of this, but even from the names you mention (apart from Bingham and Chickasaw Mudd Puppies, whom I don't know yet...) at least ten years have passed (Helm has been around for a while... The Band) in which this genre had folded in on itself... when I heard Slim, it was a breath of fresh air, traditional American music revisited and corrected... modern (and that's where my astonishment lies)...

I mean... they don’t seem like monsters to me (well, they’re not exactly models either) the bands you reviewed... they’re niche within a niche of music... so follow Chino Moreno's advice and instead of being power, BE QUITE AND DRIVE (FAR AWAY)... :-)))

I greet the Doctor, Ole, Psycho, and to STAIPOTENTE I say that there is a big grisi in his latest words... "After all, my reprimand towards Lewis (a reviewer of niche albums praised regardless) is perfectly coherent" is not very coherent with EVOKEN 5 - INCHIAVATU 4 - BEL-SAGOTH 5 - GOTTHARD 5 - BATTLEROAR 4 - THE OCEAN 4 - BERSERKER 5 - ALTARIA 5 and the poor CELESTY 3... it doesn't seem to me that the bands you've reviewed are not niche and that the ratings are very far from mine...

I quote CaneNero... Catartica lacking personality...??? I vote for Ape Regina (which, by the way, was excluded by Catartica... it's already on the self-produced demo from '93...)
