"Jesus Christ meets the John Lennon of '69, who was really the same thing"... if only for this phrase 5...! I could never fully appreciate them, but tonight I'll try to seek this out, from how you describe it... Nice review...

Very very good my Alessio... Vienna is beautiful and Shellac are like the tank divisions in Paris... Goodbye.

I mean, commercial hip hop was Articolo 31, Sottotono and a bit of OTR too, I mean people who had a (vague) idea of the matter... now there’s nothing that sounds real anymore, except for going on TV or radio, I mean Mondo Marcio and his crew are really weak, from every point of view... but underground there are still real people who believe in it, even if they've been making their music for 20 years and more... Sandrino is one of them... Sandrino is these... the same Deda, the continuous comebacks and departures of Kaos, CUBA Cabbal...

@...fuck... I also think that in general Neffa was the best; after all, producing SxM happens once in a lifetime. His flow was magical, and with Deda (the two true and, as he told me, unique Sangue Misto), they were a formidable and complete pair at 100%... but as you rightly say, Gruff has made (and in my opinion) continues to make the history of hip hop, which fortunately has returned to a more "grassroots" dimension, where you can also make "ugly" records that feel real and play in the places that let you. Today commercial hip hop is even worse than it was ten years ago. Then, the idea that Neffa is the best because he quit everything ten minutes before... bah...

It should also be said that just under twenty years ago on the radio and sometimes on TV (what memories of videomusic2) they played Stop al Painoco, Batti il Tuo Tempo, Fight da Faida... even Curre Curre Guaglio'... now Mondo Marcio and whoever else has anything to add. Gruffetti has been at the "avant-garde" of the scene for over 15 years and hardly gets anything back... @psycho... in this he has every right to feel like a Shaolin, plus he lives between Turin and Tokyo...!!!

Ok... now we understand each other, and I have to say that I (almost) totally agree with you. Of course, the "posse phenomenon" has certainly helped to eliminate space for other realities, but I believe that the Italian hc scene has faded away on its own, as valid realities like Kina have continued (albeit with a thousand difficulties) to make and produce records (some excellent, others definitely debatable). As for the social centers, let's just not go there; I was at Leonka the night before the eviction and I've returned there a bunch of times to the new one... and the definition of nightclub and/or concert hall fits perfectly. As for the 99 Posse, well... the only truly noteworthy album is the incredible opposition tour, but I believe it's only because Bisca was there.
