I also saw them on Friday in Milan, and I must say they are in great shape. Of course, the old classics ignite the audience exceptionally, but the new songs fit into the setlist quite well, they work perfectly... then I agree with the conclusion of the last post by 47... :-)))

Upon awakening from the Motorpsycho concert, everything takes on a different light... your account was not a wasted mistake, you told "Skip" (:-))) way better than I did... truly a DOCG page.

We will listen... in a future life, since lately my research and the excellent proposals from DeB (from the doctor in this case) are crashing my computer, which is only 8 months old :-))))

Kraut is the foundation of all modern music... all of it. Talking about kraut while including totally different experiences like Neu, Amon Düül (I & II), Faust, Can, Ash Ra Tempel, Kraftwerk... is reductive. These, willingly or unwillingly, are the foundations of what has been best listened to afterward. The review is nice, but if you don't want to exaggerate a statement that, by the way, you say you don't believe in, well, don't write it.. :-)))))
Fred Bongusto I grandi successi originali

I completely agree with you, my "controversy" was about the vote for Bongusto's work, which no matter how hard I try, I just can't see it as a 4 (because not long ago I was accused of having shelf syndrome for giving all 5s to the reviews I write ??!!?!?!!?!?). So Gatsby fits in perfectly, also because it would be wonderful if someone ends up reading it from here... anyway, even listening to Balliamo is hilarious, I mean it's perfect in Fracchia la belva umana, when Commissioner Auricchio tries to speak on the police radio... :-))))

Francis Scott Fitzgerald, for merely being mentioned in a review by Bongusto, is doing backflips in his mausoleum. The Canadian, German, and Filipino judges gave him a 9.8, the Bulgarian a 9.5, and the French, Russian, and Argentine gave 9.4... you do the math.

Paolo... you definitely write well, I mean very well, you immerse the music in the "historical" period it belongs to, with an elaborate and varied vocabulary... but tell me honestly, please honestly, do you really think this is a four-star album...? I mean, I know some of the pieces and they're truly awful... here I agree with ajeje, the arrogance of trying to pass off Bongusto's music as something it isn't... you say "here too, the intimate, almost existential meaning of Bongusto's poetics" for Balliamo... I’ll quote the lyrics below, give me the reasons behind your words... come on, let’s not joke around.
Let’s dance
it's been a while
since we last did
Let’s dance
the music is here
that you like too
Let's go tonight
I'm in the mood for madness
You and I tight together
like a long time ago
What a scene the more I look at you
the more you seem like a queen
You’re stunning
in your evening dress
so beautiful
I’ve never seen you like this
You’re amazing when you say
that you love a reckless one
even more amazing when you admit
that you want me this way too
Alright, I have a personality
that’s a bit special
yet tell me who
can understand you better than me
Let’s dance, this song seems written
for the two of us
it’s a story
that resembles our love
a half-crazy love like me
Let’s dance
Let’s dance, I wouldn’t want
this to be the last song
three minutes to convince you
that it’s love
that it’s love
