Well damn, this is pop music, and it's well done too. Music doesn't always have to be highbrow, otherwise, you know how boring that can be!

Rock is not at home, not because we are unable to produce it and make it our own, but simply because there is no culture (especially in the south) of venues, institutional structures that fund it. We are victims of our splendid traditions. It's a long discussion. Then logically there is also a lot of mediocrity, but that is present everywhere.

Iko, your reasoning is flawed. Ratings always reflect the value of the album in question, without comparing it to others. A 5/5 given to "Is this it" by the Strokes, for example, logically takes on ridiculous dimensions when compared to "Dark Side of the Moon" by Pink Floyd. It’s all about quality, without comparisons, and I assure you that this work by Giuni Russo is so cultured, refined, and emotional, both sonically and especially lyrically (Battiato gave his best!), that it deserves all four stars. Unfortunately, the problem is a different one. We are largely a nation of foreign enthusiasts. And this is the downfall of our musical culture.

I am disgusted by the fact that we can't discuss music in reviews. Already, social life is filled with friends who unfortunately take music lightly and with a closed mindset. To limit such a virtual space is truly detrimental.

Hal is incredibly hard to find, except through peer to peer or me. You just have to ask yourself if you like Battiato from those years. I'm talking about "Era del cinghiale bianco," "Patriots," and "Voce del padrone." Yes? Then get it, add Giusi's extraordinary voice, and a sprinkle of harmonic and rhythmic experimentation.
