Dream Theater Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes From a Memory

Easy, as you know, you have my full approval. Dream Theater remains a band with a massive external structure (the technique) and truly mediocre substance.

Ideal album as a stimulator of energies, but then we move on to something concrete and important.

I'm fed up with receiving notifications for comments on this review. They come in by the dozens each day, and even though my liberal communicative ethics are 100% pure, I can't take it anymore, especially when it's a competition to see who can insult better. Get together in chat and tear each other apart.

The second of the strokes is akin to the promotional construction of a teen band. Nigel Godrich was kicked during the "room on fire" sessions. This is synonymous with a band struggling to evolve. If I hear more comparisons to Velvet Underground and Iggy Pop, I will seriously vomit!

Well, this is the limit of groups with an overly strong identity. The Cure, champions of dark-wave, managed in their '80s albums to detach themselves (not entirely) from the dark label with Smith's superb compositions. Interpol is another story, but I will listen, I will listen...

I'm waiting for the original release even though the temptation to download it is high.

Wow what a childish flash! My dad had this record. One day my mom had the brilliant idea to throw them away because she thought they were scratched (damn her!). A cover that blew my mind as a kid. Just look at the hair, believe it ehehe.
