Agghiastru Live @ Bike & Rock Manduria
Voto:
I saw them too at this same concert in Manduria. I had never heard of Agghiastru and his two projects, except by reputation in the scene... I was pleasantly surprised. He is incredibly charismatic, very engaging especially with Agghiastru; I also really liked Inchiuvatu, if for nothing else but their quite original and personal proposal. In my opinion, one of the best concerts for Bike & Rock. GREAT MIMMO! ;)

Ah, so you also really like Strapping.....well, next time don’t let the album slip away, otherwise you know what you’ll be missing out on ;). And if Devin did a cover, there must be a reason for it!

@Morgan: I'm glad you liked the opening, but I think it might be a bit too redundant... I think I got a little carried away! The problem is that I love science fiction and cyberpunk, so I almost always tend to incorporate these themes, and the results can be quite variable. I saw the movie I, Robot; it's nice but a classic American action film. However, the questions it leaves open are very interesting, all very topical subjects. I still refer to Asimov's literary masterpiece, a beautiful and fascinating book.

Thank you all for being here. A few things: @sfascia: why not do the reviews of Consumer Revolt or White Noise? I'm eagerly awaiting them... @Festwca: I discovered them recently too, and their albums literally blew me away! I agree with the comparison to Foetus, Unsane, and Helmet; the CSC owe a lot to all these bands. @Seifer: it was precisely thanks to Strapping (one of my all-time favorite bands) that I got into them; I was really curious about the cover of Room 429, and then the band with that name… @Kosmo: the CSC disbanded after Release (the 94 album) giving birth to the Red Expendables and especially Firewater, Tod Ashley's band, which has released five albums, I believe. I recommend the excellent The Ponzi Scheme, a beautiful album of classy rock... maybe there’ll be a review.

It's clear that this is your first time approaching Tool, because if you had listened to their other albums, you wouldn't have given it your all and you wouldn't be this enthusiastic. Nonetheless, it's encouraging that there are kids who, at 15, listen to great bands like Tool; perhaps there's still a bit of hope... Now, make sure to listen to all the others too, without any preferences and with the same attention, because Tool is a musical (and not just musical) universe all on its own. Take your time and savor them slowly. And don’t worry about the review: I wish I could have written like that at 15!!!

Really well-written review, compliments. And the proposal then piqued my curiosity quite a bit: "cybernetic landscapes transplanted into ancient times"...."tribal sounds, new age echoes, Gregorian undercurrents, and industrial depressions"....you're inviting me to a feast ;)
