If you had written a review praising the Blues Magoos, for example, I would never have responded with “Maybe it’s time to start listening to a bit of music,” because although I wouldn’t agree, it would fall within the realm of human opinion. But that review of Cynic was objectively inhuman, on par with those triumphantly praising Iron Maiden and the latest Metallica album. And anyway, had that reviewer responded poorly to my little jab, I was fully aware it would have been a response following my post. I certainly wouldn’t have complained if he replied, “Lux, fuck off, don’t be a pain in the ass, etc.,” I simply would have tried to explain to him why his statement was utterly unacceptable for good taste. As you can see, there’s a response to everything.

If I think that a year later Parable Of Arable Land was released, I can only confirm the 3 for this. As for who influenced whom, that's an aspect that no longer intrigues me. I'm convinced that an album should be understood in the here and now, not with hindsight.

Strutter is so lame that the Unrest (I repeat U-N-R-E-S-T) thought it would be a great idea to make a beautiful hardcore parody cover of it. And not even on purpose, it's the best track of the album in question, which remains decent but tends to get boring rather quickly.
