Since the Milanese kill on Saturdays, I've been saying they're so pathetic that they would be perfect for Sanremo... and indeed Ta-Dàaa! The hoax is real. They should hold on tight to the critics' award now.

I don't mind it; in my opinion, it's their best, and anyway, it's my favorite by Verdena.

A nice little chat, Libertà is my favorite. The interpretation of it as the first Italian punk album is beautiful; it’s truly a work that honestly oozes a sense of malaise.

"no tele, I couldn't care less about what others think, the problem is that I approached this album without having the tools to evaluate it, for now there’s no judgment. I’m missing a few years of listening to jazz"---- cheer up There’s others who don’t like this album either. Periodically, I try to approach it again, but the result is always the same: it says absolutely nothing to me. Evidently, we lack those blessed years of jazz listening.

Yosif, why don't you answer me?

I mean, is this hardcore derivative masterpiece from 2002? Are you sure the Pantera in 1992 weren't a bit more sincere and sensible when they were shouting? I honestly don’t follow you.

One last curiosity, Yosif: can you give me an example of a hardcore record (not that Vulgar Display Of Power can be labeled as hardcore, mind you) that you consider valid? Thanks.

@YOSIF: "On vulgar display of power, the discussion is different; unfortunately, I had the chance to listen to it a few years ago, lent to me by a friend who was really fixated on that album. He made me listen to it, and my impression was that it was an absolutely dull product, pseudo-aggressive, with an irritating and boring phil, in short, very hazy." ---> But why? Where is it dull? In what way is it pseudo-aggressive (and why not genuinely aggressive)? And what does Stockhausen have to do with Pantera, who are rock? Can you give me an example of a rock album (specifically metal if you like) that is truly aggressive? Without throwing out Terry Riley, Steve Reich, and John Cage, of course.
