But "FRED, it's FALSE" is a bit arrogant, take it easy... no offense, of course.

Well, in fact, it can't be "scientifically" proven that DT are so useless in today's music scene, from '89 to now. One can discuss their style, their '70s musical background, but then it ends there. And they've already made their mark in history, whatever people say, for better or worse. There are quite a few new prog metal bands that look up to them, and that's what matters. If someone draws inspiration from DT, then their contribution hasn't been completely lost.

With "learning," I was giving a general meaning to creativity combined with technique. But should we embark on a discussion about craftsmanship now?? God forbid.

ahè. They might have attached it to a bootleg. But they won’t even remember having produced it anymore.

Well, why address easy by saying that the DTs are good, skilled, wonderful doesn't get us anywhere, that's all!

Um, Dance of eternity, I don’t think you got the gist of this review..

Yes, indeed I was talking about timings, not sound. However, I doubt that at this rate you could even prefer a Metallica's Ulrich (true bore) to Portnoy, which would be the height of it (in my opinion). I still think you can't fully embrace prog metal for what it is, regardless of DT, trying to suggest how it should be according to your vision. Anyway, in the review you mention "a few interesting insights" poorly utilized. What are you referring to specifically?
