I don't understand why System of a Down are being discredited. They created two amazing albums, the self-titled debut and Toxicity, which are must-haves in their genre. Now, with the last two albums, even though they are in a phase of decline, they've sold less than what was feared overall.

I absolutely did not like it. For now, the worst album by the Police that I have listened to (along with Zenyatta Mondatta). This is ultra-canonical and banal pop with arrangements that are both ostentatious and irritating.

In fact, Drum I think that if one wants to judge an artistic work in some way, one must somewhat disregard the subjective emotions it gives us and rely on a more cultural and historical aspect... otherwise even a record by the Blue would have the right to exist artistically, just because there are millions of (not very bright) girls listening to them. But we both know that the Blue have no reason to exist, right?
Avantasia The Metal Opera

sounds déjà vu to the point of nausea. Monotonous speed riffs and melodies that are nothing transcendental. Ultra-canonical song structures.

Pixies Doolittle

Oh yes... when it's time, it's time! After mentioning them about seventy times in the review of Scenes from a Memory, I convinced myself to listen to something by these blessed Pixies, and I started with Doolittle... in less than a month I had then gotten all the studio albums up to Trompe le Monde (the weakest one, to be honest). Great band, great music. This time you really earned it... thanks, easy! P.S.: I keep listening to the DT as well... :-))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Well, there's no denying it, you have quite a criterion, precise, objective, and timely. "As the Metallica were fundamental for you and your story." My story? Come on, let's not say nonsense. The problem is that it would take so little... you just need to open your mind a bit more and understand that the core ideas of our thoughts and beliefs can be questioned at any moment in our lives. And thus change. You underestimate the concept of "Culture" and "Cultural Mediation," as even the most personal inspiration must be translated into a CONCRETE CULTURAL form, whether innovative or not. Beyond the (undeniable) lesson that Metallica gave to the numerous "little bands" that came after them, their albums (the first ones) are great because they are INNOVATIVE, and Master Of Puppets is not just a song, it's a manifesto of Metal, a timeless song that is still a pleasure to listen to today, exactly 20 years later. Reflect, my dear, reflect.

Well, if you have nothing to say because I’ve wrapped it up for you and you don’t know how to respond, there's no need for you to get so heated. Metallica have been fundamental in the history of Metal, no matter what you say. Obviously, you’re either pretending not to understand (because it suits you), or you're a bit limited in listening to others' ideas... "If you're so hyped about Metallica, that's your problem..." you show me that you really can’t counter what I've presented with extreme calm. Of course, the value of the artist matters, but the artist refers back to the past; only by drawing from the past can they try to innovate. Otherwise, based on what would they innovate?

What a conversation... I’m talking about artistic-historical relevance, not money... Maybe the Pink Floyd were also thirsty for cash, but in the meantime they produced The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn. And that's what matters. You can't come and tell me that Metallica suck because they don't hit as hard as Slayer, what does that even mean?! Where are you trying to get with this? Do you want to turn music into exclusively a technical skill? Come on, Metallica might not be the Spyral Architect, but they aren't the Green Day either, watch it...
