EHHHH Mariaelena feels like joking...
Silverstein Discovering The Waterfront

Nice the first two songs, then it’s all empty. These guys really fight with the term "originality." Same riffs, same melodies in every song... and the shadow of The Calling often looms large.

But where do you put "All dead, All dead"? (please don't respond with "in your ass"... )
Queen I'm Going Sligthly Mad

Perhaps the ugliest song by Queen, it could and should have been rearranged differently.
Mad River Mad River

Yes, beautiful. High all the time is one of my favorites.

Tell me, Walter, do you think that indie rock has the primary goal of climbing the charts of the world? But is it that easy to understand? Behind notoriety, there is a business machine that I can't even begin to describe. Many lesser-known bands are artistically valid precisely because they are not “music for the masses.” Music for the masses aims to sell and generate profit, not to create quality products. Money often blinds the genius of an artist; it has always been this way. And the masses have never had a great artistic sensibility. That would explain why certain "artists" have found success here in Italy, for example. I've come to the dichotomy of Art/Mass, in case it wasn't clear...

So I bought the album today... actually, I find some stylistic similarities with "I can hear the heart...", the songs are little pearls of rare beauty that live a life of their own... but Pass the Hatchet... I just can't digest it for my tastes! Too repetitive and obsessive. The review is nice, but I would have appreciated a few more words about the songs... Mr. Tough is Oscar-worthy!
