Sanjuro, from someone who gives 2 stars to Daydream Nation by Sonic Youth, I honestly won’t accept rebuttals. The problem, my little novice, isn’t vulgarity per se (it could have actually been a good idea as a means to review this album), the problem with this review is that it completely lacks critical sense. It has no critical premises; it’s just provocative, so it’s worth an eminent piece of nothing. Think twice before jumping in and making a fool of yourself. Also, I asked you what you thought of Kill 'em All, but I don’t know why you didn’t respond.

Poor us, critical sense has gone to hell. Vic's review is objectively terrible, beyond the content (which I don't agree with). I haven't listened to Metallica in years, yet when discussing them, I always hope to find someone willing to acknowledge their merits... which doesn't happen here. What Vic did is astonishingly banal: take a famous album, underline every other term that sucks (with some amusing vulgarities, that's true), ontologically annihilate it, and give no room for replies. We all can write a review like that, let's be clear. Vic's review is terrible because it completely lacks critical sense. Where are the cultural, historical, social references? Where? Terrible review, but amusing. He has no talent, hiding his (or maybe presumed, I don't know) critical incapacity behind terms like "shit" and "fuck." Again, we all can write "Profihalax"-style reviews.

Alias, poor fool that you are...in the Rock scene, I listen to "only" New Wave, dark wave, psychedelia, grunge, hardcore, post-hardcore, post-punk, punk, noise rock, progressive, pop, electronics, indie rock, shoegazer, krautrock, alternative in general, avant-garde, metal of every subgenre...does that seem poor enough to you, poor fool? But why do you talk? Why? Kill 'em all is historically fundamental for Metal, period. You might not like it, but if you deny its importance and label it as crap, I REPEAT, you just want to be a nonconformist at all costs, and therefore you come across as pathetic. Very pathetic. Among other things, it seems to be quite appreciated by critics in general. At least that’s the impression I've gotten.

"I've always thought they were crap, starting from 'Kill 'em All', crap they were and crap they remain".....THIS IS WHAT Vic Sorriso WRITES. From this tender phrase, it is clear that, beyond the questionable form of the review (and the not exactly dignified vocabulary, but still justifiable considering his particular "style"), Vic Sorriso of Rock absolutely understands nothing at all. No hard feelings. Don't follow him, Vic's friends, because this guy is a bullshitter. You can't debate the value of Kill 'em All, no and that's that.

And I instead believe I’m not tuned in enough with Sanjuro, the Metallica are garbage according to what you say, or am I mistaken? I sincerely hope I'm wrong. Because if we’re talking about the Black Album I get it (even if only halfway, it's definitely not a 1). But if we’re talking about Master and Kill 'Em All, what do you have to say instead?
Vasco Rossi Gli Spari Sopra

"The man in front of you" is different from the rest of the album, but it's an "originality" in a negative way! Living despite its pathetic nature can create a minimal emotional involvement (especially with the whistling in the background). Anyway, I would like to point out that Vasco's best song (in general) is simply better from a purely melodic point of view. This is because, Vasco, beyond the melody (more or less successful) of each of his songs, doesn't really go anywhere. Vasco is a melodic artist, like every singer of Italian pop music. Forget about Rock. Let's not even call it melodic Rock... it's Pop, guys, Pop sprinkled with electric guitar solos that often end up being self-indulgent. Vasco has the ballad in his soul. Which wouldn't be a bad thing, of course (Pop doesn’t mean rubbish), but Vasco is pathetic, both in his ballads and in his attempts to play Rock that’s too soft. Pathetic like every mainstream Italian singer.
