But simply... mine was indeed the fifth review of Systematic Chaos, I sent it to Debaser because I had it ready for days, I wanted to write a review on DT for a while (for a few months) and I wanted to avoid writing the 98th review of Octavarium, so I waited for the new album to be released. Moreover, I wanted to clarify some concepts that the other four reviews didn’t focus on (in my opinion). In fact, I didn't like the other four reviews on Systematic (some for one reason, others for another). So, I sent mine. It's not that I don't accept criticism; I don’t accept insults, that’s different. If someone gives my review a 1, I couldn't care less about the 1. The important thing is that the comment is critical but sufficiently "civil."

"You can't deny their skill... inconceivable..." And who decided that the Dt are "good," the eternal father? They are simply excellent musicians at a technical level, period. But when they play their "music," they're mediocre; they plagiarize left and right, and their expressiveness is zero (except for perhaps rare cases). After all, you're 17 years old, "I understand that you don’t understand me." And have you seen how many people voted 1 for the album? Clearly, I'm not the only one who thinks this album is poor.

"We insult you because we can't understand your 'grudge' against Dream, which seems to be something personal," I mean Dream Theater, but where did you grow up, in the jungle, like Mowgli? I mean, I critique an album and a band, and you 'rightfully' insult me... BUT WHERE THE HELL HAVE WE COME TO? But in my review, I didn't insult your mothers; I just criticized a damn album. Stop. And you insult me because I wrote a critical review? You are totally crazy. And then, even the walls understood it, I have no grudge against the DT; I don't think about them during the day. I simply said that this album sucks and the DT are ultra overrated, that's it. But I have no grudge against them, I don’t 'hate' them. At most, I can 'hate' them artistically, but if I meet Petrucci on the street, I'll have a chat (not about rock, obviously). That's all. Let's not say nonsense, please.

aerosiphon, what the hell are you saying? I mean, the others are commenting, insulting me, and then it’s my fault? Come on, guys, take a walk, just go.

It's not a competition; the issue is that on Debaser there are people who are culturally knowledgeable (not me, mind you, I'm just a poor newbie) and fans of their favorite bands. Knowledgeable people VS Fans of their favorite bands = heated debate. It seems obvious to me.

Do we condition? Ah! dreamtheater! But is there freedom of opinion, yes or no? And then, who hasn't listened to the Dt at least once in their life? Just six-year-old kids (maybe). Always remember that REVIEW=CRITICISM.

Great reception, but isn't it true that the Ramones were the first to break the progressive mindset? P.S: I'm not a big punk expert, just asking for confirmation ;-)

Little Stipe, I had the foresight not to vote on the review (not to be cruel, given the pity you inspire in me), but since you’re a human case, presumptuous in addition, you get a 1 as well.
