And also, if they claim to be true Metallers, (when even the walls know that Metal has been stagnating for years in a situation that is nothing short of worrying, I knew it too when I was a "metaller," just imagine) they should go listen to Reign in Blood or The Sound of Perseverance, albums that don't exactly blow me away right now, but without a doubt are better than Systematic Chaos.

I wonder why your post reminded me of Pavement. Try playing them a Silent Kid, they'll think you're crazy... Besides, if they really want to talk about grunge-metal, about bands that "want" to be more "metal inside," Dirt by Alice in Chains might be a more fitting example... and even then, Dirt is 56790 times better than Systematic Chaos. After all, it's no coincidence that Caos (forgive the pun) was second on the charts last week in Italy... have you ever seen the self-titled album by Suicide or 154 by Wire in second place?? I haven't, I wonder why... strange that many fans of Driiiiim don't get it.

Hello Stoney, so glad to see you, my friend! Today under the scorching sun, I was coming home from university listening to A sun that never sets by Neurosis... such an apt album given the heat that hit me right away, completely covered in sweat, and the catharsis that was unfolding in the meantime.

If the Pt reminded me of them, I wouldn’t listen to them ;-) At least these sound like honest Post Rock... The Pt that have been playing since Sky Moves Sideways? Who knows...

Referring to a few posts above: Megadeth are not even worth half of the early Metallica, despite Kill 'Em All having Mustaine's influences.

Easy, then instead of Zorn, I'll take Touched by the MBV as an example, which will suit you much better X-D

But do whatever you want, kid, you know I don't care about what you listen to. My point was to emphasize that a song can be commercial even if it lasts 30 minutes. I'm not talking about emotions; I would never dare to judge those. I limit myself to judging the album based on the historical context in which it was produced, the originality of its songs, and the purely expressive solutions. All of this with obviously super-partial criteria, since I still have to listen to many other things. I reject technique for its own sake, zero expressiveness, extreme citationism, and the historical nullity of this album. For anyone who knows certain things about rock, this album can only induce a stomach ache.

"A joke that makes no sense" is actually quite grounded, given that the commercialization of Dt is plain for all to see, and my malice leads me to think that maybe Labrie's mustache and goatee were grown for image reasons, to appear tougher, more "heavy metal," like Heatfield's brother in a nutshell. "15-minute songs are commercial! I'm watching In The Presence Of Enemies pt.2 on MTV!!" What an irrelevant comment of yours... banal and irrelevant songs can be created in 30 minutes (and thus commercial and aimed at the lobotomized masses who love today's stereotypical Metal), just as avant-garde songs can be created in less than a minute, Naked City teaches us.
