I share all the adjectives you used except for that somewhat unexpressive one... for me, it's precisely their dazed and intellectual detachment at the same time that is the strength of Youth.

It's my favorite after the very early Maiden albums. It's epic, yes. There are the little keyboards, but in my opinion, those little keyboards are the real strength of the album. The title track has always moved me. I remember it that way; maybe if I listened to it now, I wouldn't like it.

Yes, okay, regarding the downsizing of I&W, it's provocative (but also makes sense to me), considering that a group that starts to lose its creativity (already from SFAM, as I see it) is at least insidious. Just as I wrote in the review, I'm starting to think (a doubt that's arisen in me) that even the best DT have been "random," a simple aesthetic form that's captivating as long as you only listen to Metal and its derivatives, but becomes tedious once you start exploring other rock. Finally, the introduction of my review was necessary because I joined DEB as a fan of DT back in the day, and to write this review, I had to specify with a preamble what my changes in taste had been. Otherwise, I would have come off as a madman who once loved DT and then found them repugnant. Bye!

So Easy, the Beach Boys are both commercial and experimental? Perhaps we should agree on the interpretation of the term "commercial." Do you mean in the sense of "known and purchased by the masses"? Or commercial only from the purely lyrical standpoint?

Voices, in my opinion, don't need to be beautiful; they should have character, even at the cost of "disturbing" the listener. Because at this point, Laura Pausini should be praised simply for having a beautiful voice... and David Thomas, on the contrary, should be ignored because he has a unique timbre and sings in a hallucinatory way.

Then there's the thing about Zombie...the main melody of The Ministry of Lost Souls immediately reminds you of the Cranberries' song, come on, it's obvious. You can sing over it.

The dilemma of taking a stand against the DT when writing a purely critical review should be resolved. So, if this record "objectively" sucks for me (if the Pixies made a record like this, it would be a flat zero for them too, trust me), how can I express my disappointment in a way that doesn’t just come off as a rant? If my best friend created a record like this with his band, it would also be a flat zero for him. Do you understand what I mean?
