5 because I was about to search for the album, then I listened and watched the video and realized it’s not for me (even though the video is really cute :-D

But who told you nothing at all! I respond only if someone comes out with phrases like "in metal there have been innovations like in hardly any other genre" or compares this Korn album to an Hybrid Theory, because then it’s just a matter of pulling your hair out, it’s no longer about tastes & scents!

If I am incompetent (and I know I am) in a field, it is literally useless for me to speak. It would just be presumptuous on my part. I can at most share my personal experiences, but a broader perspective is always necessary. And it is appropriate to have personal criteria, or at least attempt to have them, in order not to fall into inconsistency.

Simply put, ignorance is almost never honest, for obvious reasons. Since people often speak and judge even when they know full well that they don't know, or know very little (it has happened to me too), because it is natural to want to express an opinion on something, the temptation is too strong. One conveys the impression they have of something regardless of their expertise. To be honest, one should remain completely silent.
