You would want to put a The Modern Dance, a 77, a 154 on the same level as a Desaparecido? Anyway, just to make you understand that I don't start with prejudices, I consider Affinità e Divergenze by Cccp to be a great album.

Forget about pseudo-intellectualism; instead, focus on whether what I said is at least factually shareable or not. Then read again: "This is to say, generally speaking, those who have listened to certain things will very likely not be surprised by this Afterhours record, as it is visibly derivative in substance and definitely 'Italian' in the conception of the songs." It seems like a very clear sentence to me.

This is one of the rare cases where a group really gets on my nerves. They don't just play "Rock" for retirees, but they're also incredibly unpleasant. And Sarcina with those horse-like teeth, like Freddie Mercury, is a real kick in the balls.

I personally hope at least not to find a bad job on a record.

"Music is not a cold calculation on paper"--- no, music SHOULD NOT be a cold calculation on paper. "But if the criticisms of the album make no sense, then it's normal for me to get angry!"--- no, absolutely nothing is normal. Still with this idea that others' criticisms make no sense, so you continue to lack respect. If you don’t understand what I wrote in previous posts about why this album would be poor, the problem is ONLY yours. I have been quite clear; of course, you might not share my ideas (but to not share them, you should first UNDERSTAND them), yet you, if we want to be completely honest, have been much more simplistic, confusing, and approximate than I have in explaining why this album is good. In summary, I said that this album was born old and incapable of telling anything interesting because it is derivative, glossy, and pre-packaged, adorned with varied arrangements but completely lacking in depth and meaning, precisely because it is standard. Not to mention Agnelli's whiny and pathetic singing. You simply responded that the album "moves you." You figure it out, and yet I'm the pretentious one.

Indeed, Pippo Baudo was missing.

"See that the Sonic Youth are known by dogs and pigs," undoubtedly, if you listen to this kind of music. So I start to not understand how you can like this album. Anyway, do as you wish, I’m tired of writing for people who don’t want to read.

I consider Germi a decent album (just to give you an idea). But in 2008, I can no longer accept a similar work, because if in '95 it was already risky to "Italianize" the remnants of grunge and hardcore, in 2008 such a work, personally, I find pathetic. Anyway, the reference to Vasco's arrangements was meaningful: of course, those of the After are formally more refined (but that's not a virtue in itself; rather, in this case, it's a limitation...), but they have, despite everything, the same purpose as Vasco's: to Italianize with pathos, with a heavy, whining, deeply Sanremese vocal style and with that way of playing so neat, polished, pre-packaged, ready for the stage of the Ariston. Besides sounding derivative due to personal background. Anyway, thank you for at least reading my thoughts!
