Le Vibrazioni return to releasing, after the "Live all'Alcatraz", a collection of their hits and more in live version, available both as a CD and DVD.
The result is generally a good album, with some really interesting songs ("Portami via", "Drammaturgia" and "Musa") and others where there is no added value from the studio version ("Dimmi" and "Se").
The CD also includes drum, bass, and guitar solos by Ale, Marco, and Ste respectively.
While Ale's solo, albeit rhythmic and fast, ends up being boring and seems unsuccessful and ineffective, Marco's is much better, but Stefano's is especially superior.
The bass solo alternates slow notes with a succession of fast and rhythmic passages, but towards the end, too many distortions come in, detracting from the musicality of the performance.
Almost perfect, however, is the final solo: fast, with an engaging and thrilling rhythm and emblematic of the great technique of one of the top guitarists on the Italian scene, who manages to dominate the stage alone for five minutes.
Moving on to the songs, the group's skill in live performance is apparent in the more rock tracks such as "Fermi senza forma" or "L'inganno del potere", but the best are the aforementioned ones.
"Portami via" has been extended from the four minutes of the album to eleven: a suggestive and very vintage piano introduction broken by theremin highs has been introduced, and after the vocal part, the song has a long bass tail until the guitars and drums burst in, raising the tones and creating the same dark and psychedelic atmosphere described in the song's brief lyrics.
"Drammaturgia" doesn't differ much from the CD version, although there are few extra bass and guitar interludes that give the song much more vigor.
"Musa", on the other hand, is much more incisive and exotic in the "en vivo" version than from the album.
The album is consequently the recording of a great live performance, although rock fans will not be entirely satisfied with the album's tracklist, which, for sure, has been changed for sales reasons and features tracks like "Seta" replaced by songs like "Dedicato a te", perfectly suited to capture the Italian audience, but leaves those familiar with the band's more rock side with a bitter taste.
Included in the album is "Insolita", the band's new single, a catchy and beautiful song musically, but banal in its lyrics.
