Believe it or not, I can't stand Low much, as they seem to have studied the manual of the saddest slowcore without arriving at anything truly personal, as it feels a bit imitative. On the other hand, I see Down Colorful Hill as the best album of the nineties, for sure! :-)

Thank you all, psychopomps I wouldn't know.. Spaccamascella indeed, Wareham has a real jerk face.. he seems like a popstar and he acts a bit snobbish when he talks :-P- Easy, the American My Bloody Valentine?? I've read about it, I totally disagree too, I can't find a common characteristic even if I try hard. At best, they might remind me of Slowdive at certain points, but I still can't see them as shoegazers. But how come you can't stand them?

Yes, the Sex Pistols are technically poor, but then call it "technique," not "music"... they are two different terms. Often, with just a few chords, great rock has been made, because when you can't play well, then you have to come up with something to be original and interesting. On the other hand, just as often, when you are technically skilled, it happens that one can hide behind the technique to compensate for a lack of ideas.

This review is great for reasons I won't explain... just read the penultimate sentence to find the truth about this album. The rating drops compared to the past because Machine Gun is "popo na cazzata," an industrial gimmick that even the good-looking Trent with his little dick wouldn't be able to offer us. I've had the same doubts about Gibbons' voice fitting into similar atmospheres at certain moments.
