But is it so difficult to behave like Boredom? He doesn't agree with me, yet he didn’t feel the need to tell me that I'm "talking nonsense" or that I "understand nothing about alternatives." This is the ABC of civil discussion; you don’t have to be a genius to understand that.

Well, it really seems to me that you do everything to avoid understanding the obviousness of my point of view, but it is :-)

No, I demand (that much is true) not to be attacked if I express an opinion. You came up with three clichés that could apply to many other groups; basically, you said it's "nice because it's nice," so much for reasons. I explained (always personally) A: that it's a derivative album because it hints here and there at others in a not convincing way (I emphasize not convincing because otherwise, it would seem like I'm saying "drawing from past bands is a crime in itself," and at that point, I would be talking nonsense). B: It has a plastic feel; an ear accustomed to certain sounds notices it right after the first track. It reeks not only of déjà entendu but of déjà entendu presented in a manner as interesting as a morning fart. To consider that guy’s singing style credible—so cloying, so blatantly mercenary in adapting to either third-hand hardcore or fourth-hand post-rock, with predictable guitar digressions and beneath it all, brainless orchestrations that scream "let's throw in a bit of everything and make a loud noise so we’ll really seem alternative,"ā€”ā€œthe melodiesā€ then... more than a few melodies are quite worthy of being associated with those of the Killers (beyond the artificially more "wild" style of the Tod). It takes considerable courage and a certain dishonesty not to admit it, which makes me lose the desire to explain yet again why this album is poor. But shall we talk about the arpeggio of the title track that sounds like listening to "Candle" by Youth? Do you consider these reasons valid, or are only yours valid? Come on, the joke's only funny when it lasts a little while; there's a limit to everything.

"A remarkable psychedelic latency" has its effect, though.

Oh, but "a use of melody that is nothing short of captivating" is genius indeed... damn how small I feel in front of you!

"a beautiful guitar barrage"...heh, I gladly notice an implicit argument from a true scholar X-D

"but Pitchfork gave it 10/10, AMG four and a half, it was among the albums of the year for Rumore. I know that our Trell loves it too"--- practically the whole world ;-) Come on, the problem is mine, that's true, now you can sleep soundly.
