No...I said that the rush on the latest albums has been influenced by metal. Queensryche are progressive metal...perhaps not in the strictest sense, but they are.

A nice discussion is coming out...but I would also like to hear STIPE's opinion on other prog groups he knows...let's see if any interesting ones come up that I can grab right away :)...best regards

shadow gallery, psychotic waltz, pain of salvation, aghora, alchemist, amaran's plight, andromeda, ARK, Ayreon, Cronian, Dark Suns, Opeth (if we can still talk about prog), then there are the FATES WARNING, the Maudlin Of The Well, the Queensryche, Royal Hunt, Rush (the latter also influenced by metal), Subterranean Masquerade, To_Mera, and Winds. Here are some bands that I believe, it’s only logical to say that what I have written doesn’t claim to be a universal truth (I’m nobody to state such things), are better than Symphony X and all the recent albums by Dream Theater, those, to understand, after Metropolis Part II.

holds anything but... I mean, they're not showy at all; they are much cleaner and more discreet compared to Dream Theater... let's say that (ONLY IDEALLY) they are closer to Pain of Salvation in terms of showcasing technique, meaning they do it, but in a thoughtful way.

Without wanting to raise a stir and (of course) fully respecting what STIPE said, in my opinion, defining Dream Theater and Symphony X as valid groups is heresy... of course, it's personal taste :)... greetings and thanks to everyone.
