Very, very boring review. The album isn't bad, but it's still Sólstafir.

Wonderful album, in my opinion slightly subpar compared to Come to my Garden and on the same level as Adventures in Paradise. Some songs (notably Everytime he Comes Around and Take a Little Trip) touch on genius, while others are simple displays of skill. A unique voice in the global music scene.

A record that left me puzzled. Opeth have now let themselves get a bit too carried away by Wilson and Akerfeldt’s prog tendencies, which, unfortunately for us, is not Andrew Latimer, just as he is not Peter Gabriel or Greg Lake. He is more of a very charming jokester who is a bit too passionate about progressive rock. It's a work that is overly referential, shifting between a little bit of English prog and a lot of Scandinavian prog, without adding anything to the scene. For me, they lost their way many, many years ago.

The sixth created DeBaser and Giusy Ferreri.
The seventh rested and danced away to the notes of Lady Gaga.

Sergio Leone C'era Una Volta Il West (1968)

My favorite film, I've never seen anything more beautiful. "Once Upon a Time in the West" is the essence of cinema; everything works in this film, and everything works perfectly. There isn't a single moment, a single scene that feels out of place. The sequence of events has a very precise logic, the story is captivating and convincing like never before, the landscapes are breathtaking, and above all, the images that Leone captures are something historic.
In my eyes, "Once Upon a Time in the West" is the most beautiful cinematic achievement of all time, even surpassing "Citizen Kane" and "Blade Runner" (which I also consider immortal masterpieces). But above all, this film has something that no other work can boast: the shots of Claudia Cardinale's gazes. The scene at her arrival at the station, the moment when Cardinale's sparkling EYES turn to the watch, her clutching that pocket watch in her hands with those fishnet gloves, and then entering the wooden building, or the arrival of her husband with the dead stepchildren and the whole line "My God, on the very day of her wedding...". And then the last ten minutes, it’s all indescribable, splendid, PERFECT.
And on top of all this, we have Morricone's immortal score... The review is truly magnificent, well done.
