Jaw, I’m joking about your nickname; you could have called yourself FuckDinosaurus for all I care. I'm not joking, though, about what I wrote. Your response is slovenly, trivial, boring, and slightly (not even that much) irritating.

Jawbreaker, your nickname already impresses me. But friend SpakkaMascella, try to understand at least 20% of what I've written. It's not about the music. It's about the miserable mechanism that they trigger.

Fidia, I've been following you for a while, and I have no doubt (from what I know about you on DeB) that you are a very balanced and fair person. You shouldn't take offense, and I don't doubt your ideals. However, your response post at least confirms that you've fallen into the infernal circle of this group (et similia). That is to say, when you write "the slayers exploit this topic for speculative purposes," I mean that I really don't like getting into this sordid game. In other words, these Slayers make music I like, but to sell more, they use sleazy messages? Fine! 'Fuck the Slayers, I won't buy a record or a concert ticket from them. The game doesn't work with me. That's all.

One thing I don’t understand is the lightness with which you address the topic of Nazism (leaving aside satanism, a foolish and sometimes dangerous phenomenon of dementia…): first of all, Fidia, who says that “they play with it…for obvious promotional reasons,” then Magico Vento “the symbolism in the live performances seems unclear… regarding the atrocities committed by the Nazi regime,” or Bisius' clarification “Slayer are not Nazis, nor Satanists; the visual impact always has an effect, they just add the stereotypes of the evil-satanist-lover-of-male and the Nazi-'now I'm going to do a slaughter,' in addition to the lyrics.”
At the very least, all of this is in very poor taste. But what alarms me the most is that, as the years and decades since World War II pass, everything seems to become a sort of sideshow. An innocent reference that can even be forgiven in a musical group since they put on a show. I am not discussing the music; the record could even be fun, but covering for these guys, looking for justifications left and right “because they were misunderstood” poor things, disgusts me. Disgust in the sense of pity for those who forget history and the sufferings of others. Sometimes it takes some balls to put aside our damn fun and respect the memory of others. Right?

Sorry to cut in... but I would have wanted to buy it a hundred times and it slipped through my fingers a thousand times but... then I listened to it and it slid down to 976th position on my shopping list. For me, Sailing and Ride like the Wind are part of that immense One Shot '80 full of pop songs with a thousand references to the youth of today's thirty-somethings, but they certainly can't hold any significant musical value (exact rating: 2.50/5).

Well... if you're talking about music then... you're kidding me! Mondovisione, usa4africa, king of the pop, 1986 MJ! I believe you're 28 years old, but it's likely that you've been stuck in the '80s... Oh, nothing wrong with that, glorious years...
