Fidia, to you who are a logical and "calm" person: I prefaced "I believe..." before what I wrote above, so it's obviously a personal judgment. And as my opinion, it should be respected and taken for what it is (it could indeed be a huge load of nonsense) but still respected by avoiding stone-cold and "final" statements. In this sense, the only thing I don't like about what you said and how you said it is "to avoid creating an unnecessary controversy based on these covers..." Now I ask: can a person with a normal sense of civility not rebel at seeing a fellow human being dead (and decomposed) used and printed on glossy paper to hold a plastic CD (let's put aside what music is recorded on it)??? And it seems to me that this is not the exception; here, every time, if we're lucky, there are goat heads, and if not, there's someone who has committed suicide with their brains splattered on the walls. Also, I don't confuse hard rock or more genuine metal (something from Metallica or other things I certainly don't know) with these deranged offshoots (black, death, morthh, dhecompost, gringhore, bhrutales, suicid/deprhess, sfhinter, coprofeig, etc.). And I conclude (also for Alfredo) you can't always say that "generalizations are made," that you can't lump everything together: here, among all the reviews I've read recently (often presented excellently by Tepes), I've formed a horrifying culture. Maybe the opposite is true: we shouldn't generalize; in metal, something occasionally survives over the decades...

Think about the historical importance of classical music, the depth of the message in blues music, the wonderful grace (besides its history) of jazz music, the revolution brought by rock, the "vulgarization" of pop music, the power of hard rock music... and metal? All these goats, these little goats, these horns, these corpses, these assholes (in the literal sense of the word), these shits, these monsters, these freaks of nature, these beasts, these putrefied dead, these violences, these fucks...

I, on the other hand, believe that the dividing line (what a big word) lies between those who are civil (and thus accept provocations, don’t insult, joke around, play along, don’t flip out...) and those who are uncivil (who don’t accept provocations, insult, have only their own point of view, are serious, get offended over trivial matters). There you have civilization, respect, dialogue... damn, it’s been 2500 years since the Greeks were philosophizing about it, and we still haven’t understood a darn thing... oops, sorry, I was flipping out.
