Hell, what do my reviews have to do with it? I am "renowned," if anything, for writing what I think. And I indulge myself, from time to time, with a bit of humor. I think it would be best if we stopped being offended. If you write to me "virgin intergalactic black," will you allow me to make a joke or not? Or do you take yourself that seriously?

Hey there... look at the reviews I'm missing out on lately!!!
Hyper-temporal Black Virginity!!!! Anti-reality, anti-matter, Beyond the boundaries of reality, The pitch-black void, Space 1999, Beyond Creation, the antithesis is the immanent principle of anti-reality. Very interesting!!!! Do you know the hypotheses of possible universes? Because you should know, Hell, that from a theoretical standpoint, the need for a theory of everything that unifies the current Standard Models of Particles and Cosmology is becoming increasingly pressing. String theory, Should we abandon the theory or confine it only to a domain of mathematical physics? NO! For at least two good reasons: • The natural scale of the theory is the Planck mass. Reasonable to expect predictive problems. Many "spin-offs" and of enormous interest. String theory as a laboratory of ideas for new physics • More relevant examples: Supersymmetry and Supergravity.
Several other models of new physics inspired by string ideas: • Cosmology: pre Big-Bang models • Particles: models with extra dimensions (Randall-Sundrum, flat space, etc.), little Higgs Area: Phenomenology and Astro-Particles.
Calculation of the entropy of extremal black holes (Strominger - Vafa, 1995) SBH=A4 GN Statistical interpretation: quantum gravity Possible to have classical configurations in string theory corresponding to black holes, whose microscopic configuration is known. Macroscopic extrapolation requires them to be extremal. Area: Fields/Strings
Gravity-gauge duality 1974 ‘t Hooft: development in 1/N (strings?) Area: Fields/Strings
Gravity-gauge duality 1974 ‘t Hooft: development in 1/N (strings?) 1997 Maldacena: concrete relationship. Classical configuration near the horizon associated with N D3-branes is an AdS5×S5 space. Corresponding microscopic configuration described by supersymmetric conformal gauge theory SU(N). 5D gravity weakly coupled = strongly coupled field theory in 4D ... and vice versa. Area: Fields/Strings
Unprecedented conceptual progress. Idea developed and generalized in many ways. Key point (Witten): conformal symmetry in 4D = isometry group AdS in 5D. Analytical exploration of strongly interacting field theories. Interesting approach to studying quark-gluon plasma at RHIC. Area: Nuclear
Not a new idea: hierarchy resolved with Higgs state composed of a new strongly interacting gauge sector. Problematic calculability. From the gauge/gravity duality we expect a perturbative description in terms of 5D theory. Example: Composite Higgs Models. Recent models of new physics inspired by gauge/gravity duality.
Electroweak symmetry breaking = symmetry breaking via Wilson lines. From the 5D perspective, hierarchy resolved because the local mass term of Higgs is forbidden by gauge invariance. The Higgs is the fifth component of gauge fields. Description exists! Randall-Sundrum with gauge fields and fermions propagating in 5D. Area: Fields/Strings and Phenomenology
UV brane UV brane IR brane IR brane H H t R t L e L e R Yukawa couplings given by 5D geography.
Kaluza-Klein states: hadronic resonances of the strongly coupled "holographic" theory. Area: Phenomenology
In the absence of a Higgs field, the 5D theory describes a Technicolor-like theory. Area: Phenomenology
Basic concept also applied to QCD ("holographic QCD"). In the absence of a Higgs field, the 5D theory describes a Technicolor-like theory. Area: Phenomenology
Predictivity • Low-energy physics depends on many (too many) fields (moduli).
