Defender85, well done. In the end, your calmness and explanation can be understood and appreciated. I still stand by my opinion in every way. However, I forced myself to listen to something randomly from these guys and, to my surprise, they seemed incredibly pop. Songs with catchy pop melodies, very mainstream even with the counterpoint of a sweet girl with an angelic voice. In short, very, very polished in the studio and "crafted". If the singer hadn't had that little voice, if they hadn't designed those covers, and if they had included more worthy and palatable lyrics, they could have sold tons of records (if they haven't already...). Very AOR... incredibly.

Thank you, very kind Defender85. I would just add, for completeness of information, the number of children killed and massacred by the "count": "between 1432 and 1440 several hundred children and young boys were killed or had been made to be killed by Bluebeard, most of the time after being subjected to sexual abuse." Children. Can you explain to me where you see irony?

Lovelorn, huh? Do I want to see it? Since you've studied so much, would you have the "pleasure" of providing a brief summary of the life and works of Count Gilles here? And anyway, this is certainly not a case of "glorifying evil"; it's simply and sadly a banal case of the complete decay of values, even the simplest ones, even the most elementary.

Sociopeloso, I’m very ironic, but those, even if they were made 500 years ago, are real things. I wouldn’t joke around with a modern-day internet pedophile, so why should I accept a fucking pederast from 500 years ago and a bunch of idiots making an album about it to sell? I have a minimum of consistency. Then again, everyone is free to enjoy whichever albums they like; this is my very personal and debatable opinion. And I express it.

Lovelorn ohhhhhh... think that in my elementary studies, Hitler, as well as Attila, Nero, Mussolini, Stalin came up several times... but it’s not like I went out and bought a CD from some idiots who glorify Hitler, perhaps with all the stylized Jews on the cover. I can understand it’s a game (quite questionable) and those who listen to them accept the game, but you Lovelorn, don’t try to give them a civil guise, because these "things" don’t have that. Studying is one thing, having fun is another. Don’t you think they have completely different purposes? Studying, understanding, knowing on one side, playing, "play" in English anyway, distracting oneself (with the awareness of joking about those facts and that character!) on the other. But when you make reasonings, do you stop halfway, or do you sometimes reach conclusions?

"A concept centered around the life and misdeeds of Count Gilles De Rais (1404-1440), an edifying sort of serial pedophile satanist avant la lettre." Beautiful, I think it's really beautiful, the life of a satanist pedophile from the 1400s, historically speaking, no more childish nonsense, no, no... here they even glorify "pedophiles"... I'm at a loss for words... who knows if in 500 years youngsters will listen to a nice concept about the beasts of Satan.

Of course, to evolve (you like this word, I wonder why... Freud?) from these... it takes a ton of steps to get to the monkey.
