Punny… maybe your memory is failing you, but I, in addition to your Thepunisherian reviews, also read the previous ones… and I’ll stop here. A footnote: if you’ve “reduced” yourself to writing “normalized” reviews, the situation is rather sad. At least they should pay you! If I were to write reviews for pleasure, I would put down exactly what I want, without normalizing anything to please the “respectable ones” or to attract a larger number of readers. Of course, there’s the risk of not getting published or, worse, being ridiculed. But then it’s a choice: to “whore yourself out” a bit to be read and appreciated by the largest number of users, or to be “hard & pure” but proud of what you’ve written? P.S. Writing things that are “beyond,” “not normal,” “original” does NOT mean in any way that those reviews should then be beautiful, intelligent, or interesting.

What's wrong is that, for me, after the first 3 or 4 which were original, the other 50 that followed the same outline were predictable and in some cases even hard to digest. My criticism comes from the fact that, after all these years, you can't possibly say that Debaser wants "not too original" reviews. And I'm not speaking as a site manager, which I'm not, but as a user and reader. You know very well that the most appreciated reviews are the original ones that try to break the mold. You have written some tasty ones in this sense. However, "breaking the mold" doesn’t necessarily mean being heavy, vulgar, and offensive (and for this reason, the old The Punisher passed on to a better life…). There are reviews here on Debaser that newspapers and music and literature websites would dream of publishing.
