Great review...very ironic and introspective at the same time.
I'll have the CD in a few days so I won't give a rating...but the review gets a solid 5...TAKE THAT!!!!

Yes... I've also read about their somewhat overly political vein. I will listen...

Up The Braket, I’ve fused it from how many times I’ve listened to it… This is just my opinion… but I really can’t stand the Strokes. Interpol is another thing… but I don’t feel like comparing them to the bands mentioned… their music is different. Among the Revival Rock Bands, I really like the following: Hives, Datsuns, and Jet… not to mention the legendary Hellacopters… but here we’re on another level. I like the Hives because in this last album they played a bit of everything… from garage to rock & roll… passing through surf and 80's style rock… they did really well, I liked them a lot… I don’t know the International Noise Conspiracy… what are they like??

Okay... yes, in this sense it's true. So it's clear that I didn't understand well. Now it's clear what you meant. Maybe like you, I find it annoying that even the Verdena are becoming, as you rightly say, "a product to be sold at the supermarket;" I've felt that too... especially this year, when they launched and "advertised" their new work perhaps a bit too much (in my opinion). But we know that at a certain point, you have to choose a direction, and they (also because they certainly have a solid structure behind them) have chosen the path of almost commercialization. Despite everything, I will never stop admiring them, especially for their young age and what they can express... except for the keyboard player.... :)))))

So, after listening to it... I also believe I share the ideas expressed by djd (even if I lost the last three diopters left to read them)... a little less categorically, I give a 3 to easy’s review. After all, he didn’t completely slam them.
I liked the CD. Raw rock and at the same time well-crafted. It can be blasted through in 30 minutes, just the way I like it. I think the Hives still have a way to go and can improve over time, but for now, they are the only ones, along with the Datsuns, who make me relive that 60s-70s rock without getting lost in the immensely profitable trend of this Nu wave. One thing is certain... those "dressed to rock" remind me of the much-hated (by me) Strokes, a prime example of how to not know how to play and still make a ton of money because daddy allows it. (screw them)... but the Hives are still quite far from that, in my opinion...

"I mentioned Ferretti because Humax4 seems to suggest that just playing an excellent instrument makes you a good musician, which honestly makes me laugh... lucky you who laughs... but mine was just a criticism of your way of considering a band member as a piece of ice... defenseless, who occasionally presses a key... this may be true... but what should he do?? take off his pants like in Full Monty and throw himself into the audience?? that’s just his way of being... and anyway I don’t see any particular warmth in the rest of the group... maybe they try harder (or at least they show it)... but if you had been present on the date of 17.03.04 in Rome... that evening you would have criticized all four of them... despite everything, I still consider them the best at this moment."
