Murphy is not at all a fool, and this is a nice little record. Like Psyc, my player will spin it non-stop, but like all things you indulge in quickly, eventually you kick it aside and tell it to f*** off... Anyway, my favorites are Daft Punk, Tribulations, and Movement. Very Cool!! All The Furniture is in the garaggggggggeeeeeee!!! Yes Yes Yes!!! Cool Cool!!

Really, congratulations. These are gems. But where can I find these? You pull truly interesting stuff out of the hat. "two minutes, a little more, introduced by an epic riff" makes me feel good... just for this I'll get it!!

I’m tired of hearing that "hyped" bands "must" necessarily be low-level groups. It doesn’t make sense. You can't tell me that a band, just because they're on all the magazines right now, plays mediocre music. That's an absurd preconception. Sure, FF doesn't mean anything to me either, but I would have felt the same way even if they hadn’t been so polished and hyped. I’ve loved many records regardless of the "hype." In my opinion, the Libertines are the only ones who have interpreted a kind of old-school rock without falling into ridicule; and this was true even of their first album, which, although hyped a few months after its release (I remember "Mucchio" praising it), I bought right away when nobody cared about them yet. An album is good or bad according to personal taste, but also from an objective standpoint. You can't forgo listening to bands just because they're hyped. I say this because I used to think the same way; then, after spending dozens and dozens of euros on crap "alternative" bands (nobody talks about them... so they must be good for sure), I changed my course. Of course, the records that make me feel good are others: Early Day Miners, Wovenhand, The Frames, etc.. less hyped bands, but that depends on taste. If they had been hyped, it wouldn’t have changed anything. So I join the good Psycho: Believe The Hype! (not always but sometimes it's better...)

I was torn until the very end about whether to buy this CD or not. I still haven't gotten it, and your review is leaving me even more indecisive. I'll wait a bit longer.

I really liked some of the PJ tracks like "Vs", "No Code" (spectacular) and "Yield", especially the last two. I completely agree with Easy that this isn't the best, even though it's a good album. As for the "Grunge" debate, I won't weigh in because I've never understood what the hell it was... and to think I was 20 at the time... but grunge as a fashion (as you call it) never really touched me, except musically, of course. Back then I was all about Iron Maiden and Metallica... now those were (and are) bands that made history... urcaboia!!!
