Europe Prisoners in Paradise

The Europe are of an epochal sadness, the ballad Charrie that makes me puke as much as rice is the most pathetic and meager thing one could dream of. I don’t know if it’s because of Rocky, now I feel like listening to James Brown ehehe:)

Eheheh, you see I have never been able to stand Metallica, even the early stuff seems trivial compared to the genuineness of certain Hardcore. Plus, too many clichés: the tough, immortal male with a gravelly voice, the street rat. Who believes that? And even if you did believe it: what a load of crap!! What an example of intelligence. The bland music with wanking solos disconnected from any underlying concept are merely canonical fillers that need to fit into the various songs. It's the rule of the "well-played" solo with hints of classical music, I must say "Very interesting!!". How far removed that is from me. The most powerful rock in history for me remains Rock For Light by Bad Brains, a truly genuine blast of dynamite that blows all these clowns away in 2 seconds.

It takes emotion and expressiveness; this is music. Whether you use indie rock, grunge, post rock, ska, singer-songwriter, kraut rock, or any existing genre as a means of communication matters little. What’s needed is sincerity and visceral energy, love... you must imprint yourself, pour yourself into the song you’re writing. Even if you’ve never played before or if you’re a conservatory-trained guitarist: emotion is everything. I can listen to anything from pop to the noise of pots and shattered glass, as long as it’s not a pose or a cliché—sincerity. And whether it’s the flutelike voice of a child or that of a pervert doesn’t concern me: what matters is the purity. Something that has never been present in bands like Mötley Crüe...

Indeed, Alex 82, the 80s are a golden age for all music; just think of the birth of European noise rock or hardcore to satisfy us and reassess a decade unjustly criticized for being dark... Poor Depeche Mode, let's not touch them; I was referring to street metal in general (Motley Crue, Guns n' Roses), which is a cheesy, fake genre that has nothing to do with music... And all those comments about their guitarists are pathetic: "Did you hear the solo on track 5 by Europe?!" But who really cares about their technical little assignments? All smoke and no fire. The real rock I consider is the 70s: Thin Lizzy, Black Sabbath, AC/DC, to name a few.

I really like this way of writing... you manage to balance the words well and the length is perfect; it's not a boring, cumbersome long-winded piece, and it's not a telegram either. Long and detailed enough to deserve a 5, yeah. P.S.: I also hate metal, but I love those cacophonous big guitars :) hehe hi!

Yeah Mr Moustache...ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ these are the peak of cacophony and bad taste, they used to call them Punk Floyd, these guys really love their ugly, distorted guitars :) You’ve made some great reviews, I really like them!! bye bye

I even reread ... if the alternative to grunge depression is mental emptiness and a plastic spirit that settles for less, as shown by the posers of 80s hard rock, I choose flannel jackets. I love AC/DC (the ones with Bon Scott) and here one could say "But how can you love hard rock and criticize these bands?" And no. AC/DC are incredibly down-to-earth, with Angus and Bon always friendly and humble, while the ultra-convinced posers like Axl and company are a different story. Plus, AC/DC never made a ballad because it wasn't their style; they were natural and sincere. Meanwhile, these wannabes like Poison, Europe, Guns N' Roses, and every damned glam band push their current romanticism only to return to the next track with the "Turn around, bitch, I have something for you" trope. It's too easy to make commercial crap, churning out sugary, hypocritical, and gaudy singles while trying to maintain even a shred of musical dignity. This is fake music, pure Americana...

Point 1) You can skip the initial tracklist in every review since anyone interested can check it through the appropriate column on the right. Point 2) Your name at the end is completely unnecessary because it already appears next to the album title you reviewed. Point 3) This tacky street hard rock has really gotten on my nerves; I recommend the holy considerations of Vic Sorriso regarding the albums Use Your Illusions 1&2 by the Gunzi and crude...

But you’re crazy, now the bullshit and the ridiculously copied guitar riffs have become pure rock?!!? Pure rock was AC/DC, not these phonies. Malcolm Young, when he had to go on tour with the Gallaghers, said about them, "I’m surprised that anyone considers them musicians." HEHEH
