Well, excuse me, I’m listening to Napalm Death at this very moment, before that it was the Dwarves (hardcore), and even earlier it was Gong (Psychedelia), and this morning I had the trio Azymuth (Brazilian Jazz). But I'm not saying that those who do hardcore, punk, or alternative necessarily appeal to me; the stereotype is disturbingly prevalent at a common level in any music genre. However, if I had to sift through and pinpoint those who really annoy me the most, I would say the True Metal guys. I respect Pantera, I find Iron Maiden likable... Metallica and Guns N' Roses, though, make me downright sick because they're gaudy and fake. I’ll get every album you mentioned earlier, and after listening to them, I’ll judge ^_^ LONG LIVE MANOWAR!

Anyway, I know a remarkable number of metalheads and there's hardly one that I find likable; they’re all super weaklings in reality, banal, limited when playing, just mere followers, nauseatingly mannered. I can’t stand everything about the average metalhead, from the way they dress to the standard comments like "Ceee listen to the solo, he’s too good" and the silly buddy who says "Ehh of course, he’s been playing for 10 years, went to lessons from tizio caio sempronio" and then "But does the drummer use a double pedal?" or "Cee they did a cover of Walk by Pantera, it’s the same!!!" I would add, what luck. I can’t stand the average metalhead who is right-wing; I know 20 and all of them are right-wing. I can’t stand the average metalhead who rarely explores other musical boundaries, I can’t stand that when they take photos, they have to make a mean face and do the horns with their hands. Anyway, I will listen to all the bands you told me for the sake of mental flexibility, even though I can’t stand Therion and My Dying Bride because I already know them.

Well, it's not my fault that the only musical evolution for four metal illiterates has been Black Sabbath in the '70s, Iron Maiden in the '80s, and Pantera in the '90s. There are many seminal bands like the Butthole Surfers, Slint, and The Residents that have directly or indirectly influenced the way we conceive music in a crucial way. Once, a guy came up to me drunk, decked out in black chains from head to toe, and he said, completely lost, "HEAVY METAL-BLACK METAL-DEATH METAL-METALLLLLL," and I replied, "Look, I think metal sucks." Hehe. There's not much to say; the average metal audience is just that, and the average metal guitarist's approach is the same: great technique, few ideas. Download "Psychic Powerless" by the Butthole Surfers—it's a slap in the face to 40 years of musical clichés and beyond.

Kiss have been inspired by a myriad of influences, two above all: 80s alternative rock (J Mascis of Dinosaur Jr. loves Ace and cites him as one of his influences, the Melvins who will make three solo albums imitating the graphics of Kiss albums and will collaborate with Simmons on Houdini - Nirvana, and many others) and unfortunately their look has been co-opted by street glam degenerations of the 80s as well as heavy metal, and I repeat here: the metalheads who listen to Kiss make me diabolically sick. A band so colorful, so alive, so revolutionary in their live shows deserves an alternative audience. For me, they have never been fully understood; they are great, and Revenge is an hyperbolic comeback!

No, sorry, but why has my review on Flipper or Melt Banana never been DE-selected by the editors while this superhuman mishmash of rhetoric has? Do they screen the ones that are to be prominently displayed on the site? A little personal criticism... Anyway, according to 90% of De-Baser users, the old layout was better.
