X Pretazzo: because rankings are made by shaping them to the listeners, if I saw a critic putting dozens of unheard songs among the greatest of all time I would be thrilled, I would go hunting for albums and discover new things. But normal people always want to hear the same fucking uplifting names: Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin. They don’t want to explore new musical nuances (in 95 out of 100 cases) and settle for the crap churned out by MTV, radio, and served up by hypocritical newspapers: those who must, by orders from above, praise the usual five firmly tied to the majors and traditional audiences. Few have the guts of a Scaruffi (who, for me, is great) to say what they think without being manipulated by superiors. People want to see Yesterday and Satisfaction among the top 100; otherwise, they are sad, they sulk. By including ultra underground names at the top of rock music, Scaruffi has given an insane jolt to everything; he has been a true punk in the realm of music criticism. It’s thanks to him that I discovered the Soft Boys, Pere Ubu, or DNA; he has given a completely different cut to the history of music, dethroning the sacred monsters and sometimes mocking them. In summary, it’s the academic, conservative mindset of the average listener combined with that of spineless or ignorant critics who will present us on a silver platter with the Beatles' number ones. That's how I see it :)

Everything is very nice, but listen to Underwater Moonlight by the Soft Boys and then trash The Beatles, my dear ^_^

Look, I love Napalm Death, so you’re mistaken. But I also like titles like "it's easy to get AIDS with Freddy Mercury"; they are irreverent, extreme, sharp. Then again, to each their own.

Mike Patton, but does Patton take his name from him or is it just on the birth certificate? Anyway, nice review, timely, heartfelt, well written. I really didn’t know these guys, they don’t get much consideration from critics, not even the omnipresent Scaruffi mentions them! But why is that, who knows?

The more I read the titles, the more genius they seem... I'm getting my ciddi. Anyway, they are a satirical group that makes fun of the emblems of certain heavy music, spiced up with various nonsense. Of course, they are politically incorrect, and quite a lot! Listen to Picinic Of Love from 2001 to get a sense of how pijanculo the anal cunt are :P

Great job, beautiful review. A little Nirvana fan who doesn't write with Ks! As it happens, I'm listening to iNirvana, but the UK ones, a 60s psychedelic band. And then they'll end up shelling out a ton of money for a name inadvertently copied from a grunge trio. EHHE. I also love Incesticide, songs like Big Long Now and Aero Zeppelin. Even if we prefer Flipper, those acid Nirvana ones have a bit of a soft spot (de gustibus). Well done again, girl, and coming from the lookalike of Billy Corgan (Gish era) that's a compliment :P
