Scruffily speaking... the first two masterpieces. Then good but never exceptional, during those years stuff like Soft Machine, Gong, or the kraut rock of Can, Amon Düül, Tangerine, etc. was more than enough to overshadow the Floyd. Barrett is the peak, for both the Floyd and psychedelia in general. RIP
