listen carefully, joe cocker, and you will discover that zucchero has copied and pasted on more than one occasion. you can't argue about this! zucchero is the king of plagiarism. here’s a list of zucchero's songs that are copied: così celeste, diavolo in me, blu, menta e rosmarino, donne, spirito divino, porca l'oca, you make me feel loved. find out for yourselves from whom he has copied them! have fun

"for me it is the album of a generation as much as or more than Nevermind"... what a wonderful sentence!

I should mention that I've been a fan of Dream Theater for almost 12 years, so I've gone through all their albums... all 5 current members plus Kevin Moore and Derek Sherinian? What a passion, guys...

Portnoy, class drummer with artistic sensitivity? Great talent, okay, but please let’s leave it at that. Since Portnoy and Petrucci started producing, Dream Theater has been going downhill... This is the artistic sensitivity: "Let’s crank up the drums and guitar to the max, and the rest can go to hell, because we produce it!" No, really, if you play the drums, and with a fair amount of success, you need to have other artists to look up to. I beg you, I implore you.

Plagiarism exists. outside the wall = regression for example. The final choruses of the spirit carries on are an example of idea and arrangement plagiarism from Pink Floyd. Same choral structures, same dynamics. It’s all a mega mixed bag, super referential to concept albums and other stuff we've already heard. strange deja vu' and beyond this life, dear Alex, are four chords. If I pick up the guitar, I can do them right now and sing over them. The rest is super unsolicited fluff. I mean, I like the album, I listen to it, but as I've said before, that doesn't mean I'm throwing precious pearls at Dream Theater while plugging my ears like so many do. Give to Caesar what is Caesar's, and what isn't to the pigs. Just not pearls, at most pearls for swine. Pearls.

...anyway, power metal is a sublime genre, absolutely melodic and catchy, very technical, and full of show-offs, with very poetic lyrics (especially the Sonata ones). Power metal is the genre for those who CAN play...

I'll repeat, it may seem right to you but I think it looks inappropriate. Write the review and publish it; if you want to introduce yourself, there’s the reviewer profile or the personal profile. Anyway, you’re free to do as you wish, I was just saying it for your sake.

A piece of advice, without trying to be a pro, but avoid the opening sentence: "Here we are, this is my first review on this site, I hope to do a good job and pay tribute with my writings to the groups/albums that I'm going to review." I think it's a bit childish as an introduction. The beginning is important for a review. To the anonymous person above: I, like anyone else here, have the right to criticize the work of these five established musicians for 15 years because 1, there is freedom of speech and expression, and 2, we shell out the dindini that allow these five musicians to eat, drink, and succeed. Remember that no one is untouchable, and success doesn’t necessarily confirm the artistic value of what you do. In this sense, we couldn't talk negatively about Madonna either, don't you think? Listen to other things carefully and then come back to listen to Dream, and you'll see that you'll find something to say. Bye.

virtuosity for its own sake gets boring after a while and becomes sterile... a thousand other less technical guitarists evoke more emotion than Petrucci. With Petrucci and Portnoy, one achieves the amazement of what they do, a bit like when you watch the Guinness World Records or the Harlem Globetrotters... but the true emotion is something else... I, who am fast, couldn't care less... bye.
