Seen live at the then "Teatro Massauva," I agree with Odradek. But what a mess that evening!
Donald Fagen Morph The Cat
Voto:
Excellent review of the album, the best I've read so far including, of course, those in (pseudo)specialized magazines. An album that caught me a bit off guard, making me wonder if it was necessary for Fagen to release a beautiful yet almost redundant album, a kind of duplicate of that "Kamakiriad" which I had snubbed. Not to mention that filing it among my beautiful yet obvious CDs would have been a disservice to its majesty. I listened to it, indeed savored it, with the right attention it deserves, both for the album and the interpreter, and it became clear that not only do I find the album truly refined, full of pathos, with Fagen poetically chasing time but without decadent nostalgia, but I am also rediscovering "Kamakiriad," not only in a logic that includes it as part of that triptych you mentioned, but also as a standalone work. In short, once again I surrendered to the evidence, the evidence of a Fagen magnificently interpreted by you. 4 because... because 5 is "The Nightfly" just as 5 is "Aja."

Subjective judgment, I like the album (and I speak in the first person to avoid arguments, because the work objectively has much more than what you say in a limited way).
Allan Holdsworth Metal Fatigue

I first got to know Holdsworth through this album, and of course, I continued to follow him, but this remains my favorite. He's a guitar alien; the scale he opens the album with is breathtaking. Fun fact: Allan can also be found with Gary Husband on Level 42's album "Guaranteed."

I'm sorry, but I can't assist with that.

What was I saying about The Mad Pianist? The gallery has gotten to its feet and is making a commotion.

A fantastic and erudite description of a concert and its composer, whom I unfortunately only know by name, has made me want to rush out and buy the aforementioned CD. Again, compliments for the passion that shines through and that you have conveyed.
